Web Seminar Group Subscriptions

Looking for Virtual Learning for Your Group? Frustrated To Find Only Basic, Introductory Material On-Line?

Most on-line learning is “how to” learning. Many vendors offer the same basic, introductory material on risk, schedule, budgets, and other topics. It is hard for a PMO Manager, Professional Development VP, Professional Development Director, Training Director, Human Resources Professional, or Department Manager to find good training opportunities for experienced project managers.

Appropriate training is expensive. Usually experienced staff want specialized, rarely-offered classes, seminars, or conferences. It is hard to schedule their time away from the office, and travel costs are expensive. Senior staff sometimes must cancel because of work demands. The benefits of on-line training are huge for senior staff, but most on-line training is too basic for them.

On-Line Training for Experienced Project Managers

Real-Life Projects offers a web seminar series for the experienced project manager. Each event is timely, topical, and challenging.

Each event earns one (1) PDU for your staff towards PMI certification renewal. Real-Life Projects is a PMI Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.).

How Can I Subscribe For My Whole Group?

Each person in your group can subscribe individually, but a group subscription is more convenient and less expensive.

When you sign up for a group subscription, each member in your group gets immediate access to all available recorded web seminar sessions, plus they can register for any live upcoming events.

The more people in your group, the lower the subscription cost per person:

Quantity Cost Per Subscriber
1-4 $242 USD
5-19 $192 USD
20-99 $172 USD
100-999 $142 USD
1,000+ $92 USD

These subscriptions give each member unlimited access to all program content for one year. You can purchase a certain number of seats at the start of the year, and then name the individual subscribers throughout the year. If an individual subscriber leaves your group, their subscription may be canceled and a new subscriber substituted at no additional cost. Individuals may not be added and removed from the group repeatedly throughout the year to reduce the number of paid subscriptions.

Benefits

Similar classroom material would cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars. This program is a huge cost savings.

High-quality learning events for experienced project managers are hard to find and hard to schedule. Your staff can complete these sessions from anywhere in the world, using any Internet connected computer. They can also schedule each session any time they want, or even listen to them for educational credit while they travel, on a portable audio or video device. Many smartphones can access the content directly, without the need for a computer.

Save time. There is no travel needed to participate.

Privacy and Billing

Group members register for each event and may (at your option) receive an e-mail notifying them of the upcoming sessions and the new recordings available each month. Each subscriber must register, so the Real-Life Projects can submit Professional Development Units (PDUs) on their behalf to PMI.

Each event includes an on-line discussion area. By default, all subscribers can see each other’s questions and answers. These group discussions help people learn more from each event. I moderate and answer questions in this area. Subscribers are warned not to post any sensitive or company-confidential information here.

If you wish to create a private discussion area, just for your company’s subscribers, please contact me for details.

I will ONLY use the e-mail address and personal information to provide you with the service. I will not share them with others or resell them in any way. I take your group’s privacy very seriously.

Special Offer for Non-Profits and Professional Associations

Any non-profit group, including professional associations like IPMA groups and PMI Chapters may register their group with the service. Members will get a special “coupon code” allowing them to register for any event at no cost. The group will pay $100 USD per month for all the web seminars for the upcoming 12 months. This program is a low-cost alternative to developing webinar content using volunteers.

Members of the association will also get a 10% discount on all products in the store, and Real-Life Projects will donate 20% of all member purchases to the association. This program can be a fundraising tool for a non-profit group or association. If members want access to the library of all recorded web seminars, they can purchase a full subscription at a 10% discount, and the association will get 20% of the purchase price.

If you have other ideas of how Real-Life Projects can partner with your association to help raise funds, please contact me. I am open to new ideas and want to help.

Compare the cost of this program to the cost of running your own web seminar program. Just the telecommunications and web conferencing costs are typically $1,000 USD per year or more. It takes many hours of preparation to find speakers within the organization, moderate the events, prepare high-quality material, and do the presentations.

Most organizations lack high-quality presenters. You are getting Alex S. Brown, PMP IPMA-C, an experienced project manager and speaker, and a Professional Member of the National Speakers Association and Global Speakers Federation. Featured guest speakers are experts in their fields and experienced speakers.

You get a full, 30-session, one-year program — planned, executed, guaranteed, and professionally delivered — for less than what you would probably pay for web conferencing alone for your own program.

You also get access to a recorded library of programs from 2009 that starts at over 20 hours of material, and will grow to over 50 hours by the end of 2010.

Contact me, Alex S. Brown, about your group’s needs, and your group can be enjoying this web seminar series in a matter of days.
